And for us auditory learners, there is this gem from 1976:

Who is the Saviour?
by JW Answers inthis is for those who are interested in bible study.. the jehovah's witnesses claim that only the father is god, and thus teach he was the saviour in the old testament.
the bible teaches that god says "there is no saviour beside me".
therefore how is it, that the lord jesus christ is called the saviour of the world?.

Virtually the entire JW membership has always seemed to be under some kind of spell. I remember back in 1975 that everyone just forgot about all the lies, false profits, & failed predictions as if it never even happened. It really blew my mind as a 13 year old in 1976 to witness the "amnesia" first hand.
That was the year I started smoking pot as a way of coping with the stress of losing faith in just about anything, especially my parents. I pretty much got stoned everyday until I was old enough to leave home. I went to a KH meeting once on mushrooms. Made a lot more sense and was far more interesting. ;-)I ended up in prison on a drug charge at age 19 and served 10 months behind bars. Best thing that ever happened to me. I got sober and learned to think a little for myself.
My uncle sold his house (with four kids in it) to pioneer in '75. He "stayed alive till '75".... but not much longer. He died a Df'd alcoholic tens years or so later. He wasn't as fortunate as I was.
To this day my family believes that there is something wrong with me and not their false prophets. God forbid that anyone should criticize their
holyprophets and hold them accountable. Sociopathic zombies. -

Whole Study Article on Commenting at Meetings
by JW_Rogue ini guess less people are commenting now.
last week's whole wt study was dedicating to the issue of commenting.
people were literally making comments about how to comment, it was very meta (not that most there would get that), anyway the main reason that wt gave to explain away people's lack of commenting?

The entire process is designed to produce uniformity and zero actual learning. This was one of the primary things among JW's that really irritated me as a young person.

Next week we will study inappropriate hand-raising techniques so that we can maintain our Christian unity.

“Their is no excuse for GOD / JEHOVAH not to inform the people of the world what he requires of them”
Didn’t Jesus tell everyone that God requires perfection because he is perfect?
I don’t know how he could have been more clear than that.
Some eastern religions aspire to something similar with numerous do-over reincarnations.

1 Corinthians 10:8-10 KJV
Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. [9] Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. [10] Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. So Christ was the One who was murmured against (the pre-incarnate Lord Jesus) and it was the Pre-incarnate Lord Jesus who sent the fiery serpents. Thus showing that He is God.
Never made that connection before. Thanks for posting this!
Early Christians knew this as well. I found this from Ambrosiaster 337 AD - 397 AD
"The Jews were putting Christ to the test, because it was he who spoke to Moses. Paul is warning us here not to do the same as they did." Commentary on Paul’s Epistles. [CSEL 81.3:110.]

Jehovah's Witnesses: A Coercive Organization?
by john.prestor inso in sociology we divide organizations up into three categories or types, you got utilitarian, voluntary, and coercive.
utilitarian means people join to accomplish some purpose like selling food or making furniture, voluntary means they join up just for fun or to hang out with people like the freemasons or a lot of churches, and coercive means they don't really want to be there but they gotta because someone will punish them if they leave, so labor camps, armies, or prisons.. in a paper i wrote for a class a while back i argued that jehovah's witnesses should be seen as a coercive organization.
yeah, people join up and they do leave, nobody beats you up if you stop attending or preaching, nobody imprisons you, shoots your dog, kills your kids that kind of thing, and nobody makes you join up either.

They should be careful what they wish for. The Watchtower is the one being killed off.... one law suit at a time.

days ofp,
I think that the views of materialists have made it harder to grasp. JW's have pretty much the same view as materialists: We are just a body with some breath and electrical impulses mixed in.
Probably the vast majority of people on earth, past & present believe differently....that there is something that is immaterial, a consciousness... in addition to the body that constitutes "you".There is only ONE "you" , yet you exist in more than one manifestation according to most. Christianity teaches that although God has three manifestations of himself, he is still just one essence, ONE God, not Three.
Jesus replied, "The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord...""Then they asked him, 'Where is your father?' 'You do not know me or my Father,' Jesus replied. 'If you knew me, you would know my Father also'" (John 8:19) "'I tell you the truth,' Jesus answered, 'before Abraham was born, I am!'" (John 8:58). "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30).
